SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – An early Sunday morning beating left a man dead in midtown Sacramento, police say.
Just before 1 a.m., Sacramento police responded of 18th and P Streets where witnesses were administering CPR to a man in his 20s.
Police believe a physical altercation occurred between the victim and three adult males, during which the victim sustained traumatic head injuries.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he died.
Homicide detectives are still investigating what prompted the deadly fight.
Detectives are reviewing area surveillance video in hopes to identify the subjects involved.
