The pleasant weather we had this weekend will soon come to a close as a storm system is set to impact Northern California.
Monday will bring partly cloudy skies and less wind than we saw on Sunday, but by late Tuesday a low pressure system will track north of the region, bring valley rain and high elevation snow.
The bulk of the rain and snow will be overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning. Expect a quarter to a half inch of rain possible and up to 10 inches of snow at elevations above 6,500 feet.
The official start to spring is Wednesday, and after a wet couple of days in the middle of the week, more spring-like weather will take shape.
Sunshine and warmer temperatures will end the week with highs returning to the mid 70s after a brief drop into the mid 60s.
