The Don Geronimo Show - March 29, 2013

The day starts with the guys discussing the guy who came to visit the station at 5 in the morning. Apparently it was the guy who kept calling in yesterday starting trouble, leading to Don giving out his phone number on the air. The guy swears it wasn't him, but the guys know better. Don then tells us about the crazy cats in his neighborhood, before Slow Joe tells us about his do-it-yourself apartment furniture, and we hear a new parody song about the Easter Bunny, to the tune of Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me."

After hearing about the possibility of airlines charging people for tickets based on their weight, we jump into another Rotating Random Phone Scan, and then we get another in studio visit from Comedian Kevin Nealon. Kevin, who is performing at the Punchline tonight and Saturday, talks about his fans giving him pot, being a winner on the "Dating Game" back in the day, possibly having lunch with Bob Barker today in Sac, and running into Phil Spector at Penny Marshall's party.

After Kevin, we get a visit from Metal God Jason Newsted. Jason, who's new band "Newsted," is performing at Ace Of Spades in Sac April 27th, talks about writing all the songs in this new project, the full length LP coming out in June, his days in Metallica, and how he's still friends with all those guys, and what bands influence him when creating music.

It's then time for the "Phantom News." Today, A TV version of "Gangs Of New York" is in the works, the "Tongiht Show" is climbing in ratings, Lil Wayne almost died in the hospital, and movies coming out this weekend. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
