The Don Geronimo Show - April 9, 2013

The day begins, and it's still freezing in the control room, even though the AC maintenance guys have been here since last week working on the system. At the start of the show, the room was 58 degrees! Don then gives us the new official Death Trifecta: Roger Ebert, Annette Funicello, and Margaret Thatcher, before discussing Ron Burkle backing out of the Sacramento Kings ownership deal, and the guys hear Brad Paisley's new song with LL Cool J, called "Accidental Racist."

After Don tells us about a family who put their dead relative on a motorcycle for funeral viewing, the guys talk a bit about the passing of Annette Funicello at 70, and Don calls up Big Freda to help her create a Twitter account. Don then calls up the owner of Air Cooled Unlimited in Oroville, CA, who took the law into his own hands and caught a burglar who had robbed his store 15 times. After Don argues with texters and callers over whether or not it was vigilante justice, Don plays a few corny sweepers that were emailed to him, and we hear about a San Francisco man with a piano attached to his bicycle.

We then get a visit from comedian Brian Posehn. Brian, who is performing at Cobbs Comedy Club in S.F., geeks out with Don over comic books, superhero movies, and Star Trek! It's then time for the "Phantom News." Today, Slow Joe, who's filling in for Phantom while he's on vacation, tells us that size does matter, Brad Paisley is tweeting in defense of his awful song with LL Cool J, Richie Sambora is off the Bon Jovi tour due to his drinking, and Kid Rock will be charging $20 a ticket to his concerts this year. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
