Ryan Lillis of the Sacramento Bee joined Grant to start the show; just after news broke that the Maloof family set a Friday deadline for a binding backup bid from investors looking to keep the Kings in Sacramento.
Lillis explained what the Maloofs’ deadline means to Sacramento’s chances of keeping the Kings. Lillis also talked about Senator Darrell Steinberg’s recent comments about the dollar amount of Sacramento’s financial bid, the potential for the NBA Board of Governors vote getting pushed back and the chances of the Seattle group being able to up their bid if necessary.
