The Grant Napear Show - April 16, 2013

The Grant Napear show started with Grant talking about how there will not be a vote from the board of governors. Grant was joined by Dale Kasler from the Sacramento Bee who said he definitely thought there would be a vote this week for the Kings, Seattle decision. Dale also commented on how he was still unsure who has a better chance between the Kings and Seattle.

Grant talked about Pat Summerall passing away, and how he was one of the greatest announcers in the NFL. Grant commented on how Pat Summerall was a professional player who made the transition to play by play broadcasting, which is very rare.

Grant was joined by Vlade Divac the former center from the Sacramento Kings. Vlade Divac talked about how he played in front of so many different fan bases but his heart is definitely still with the Sacramento community. Vlade also said that he would be extremely disappointed in the the NBA if they vote to send the Kings out of Sacramento. Grant talked about how Vlade and him were driving in a taxi cab and the taxi cab driver was from Serbia and he would not take Vlade's money. But Divac took out 100 dollars and made the driver take it. Fans called in and expressed there love of the kings and there most fondest memories.

Grant was then joined by Mitch Richmond a former Sacramento Kings player, who commented about how great of a player Vlade Divac was. Mitch talked about why it is so important for the Kings to stay in Sacramento because the community and fan base is so great, and they are rallying around this team. During Grant's Rant he changed it up by talking about how great of a broadcaster Pat Summerall was. Grant commented on how experienced and talented Pat Summerall was, he was also a great announcer for golf. Grant said that we lost an icon when Pat Summerall passed away.

Grant was joined by former Kings player Brad Miller. Grant asked Brad what was the best things about playing on the Kings with Rick Adelman. Brad said that the best thing was that the players actually enjoyed playing basketball together. Brad talked about how talented Cousins was and that he just needs to work on his maturity. Brad Miller also talked about how great it was to play as a Sacramento King.
