Bobcat 'Chips' Rescued During Fire Released To Wild

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (CBS13) - A bobcat that was rescued during a forest fire in the Sierra last year is now back in the wild.

"Chips" was released in Humboldt County on Friday.

She was about four weeks old when she was rescued from the Plumas National Forest during the Chips Fire.

Workers at the Sierra Wildlife Rescue Facility made sure Chips had the least amount of human contact as possible so she would have an easy transition back to her natural surroundings.
