UPDATE: Identity Of Man Drowned While Boating On Sacramento River Released

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The body of a man who drowned while fishing with his wife Sunday on the Sacramento River has been recovered.

Joua Kao Lor, 55, of Sacramento was in a motorboat fishing with his wife when the boat began having engine trouble. Officials say Lor tried to throw a rope onto a nearby tree branch and fell into the water. He came up a couple of times before he disappeared.

Lor was not wearing a life vest.
