Folsom Mom And Daughter Win Big On Price Is Right

FOLSOM (CBS13) — A Folsom girl and her mom celebrated their big win on the first-ever kid's edition of The Price is Right.

At the last opportunity, with a bid of $1,000, 10-year-old Sally Lavignino and her mom Sarah Casey got on stage with host Drew Carey.

They played to win go-karts, and lost.

"My mom should have listened to me," Sally said.

The parents have the ultimate say, and Sally would have been right. But there was still the wheel for a chance to win. With 80 cents in two spins, Sally and her mom made it to the Showcase Showdown.

After a tense ending, with mom and daughter underbidding by more than $5,000, the other family overbid, leaving Sally and her mom as the big winners.

The episode was originally scheduled to air on April 18, but was postponed due to live coverage of the Boston Marathon Bombings.
