Woman Living In Yuba City Apartment Laundry Room Arrested

YUBA CITY (CBS13) — A woman tried living in a laundry room barely large enough to fit a washer and dryer in Yuba City. But her stay didn't last long after a neighbor found out where she had unpacked her bags.

Kristy Molina's home Tuesday night is a cell at Sutter County Jail, one cops say is much larger than her previous one.

Molina, 22, allegedly made herself at home in a laundry room too small for her to lay down and sleep.

When one of her paying neighbors saw what she was up to and tried kicking her out, cops say Molina broke off half a beer bottle and chased after him. Witnesses say she hit him in the face hard enough to break his glasses.

She is now charged with assault with a deadly weapon and is not eligible for bail.

As strange at the whole episode sounds, neighbors say they've seen it all.

"She comes by late at night and she'll start harassing anybody that's out here and flashing people," said neighbor Brooke Maston.

Several neighbors say she isn't exactly shy with strangers, walking around without underwear.

They say Molina's been showing up and causing trouble for a few weeks now, and she's been warned more than once by cops.

"Finally, they said enough's enough and they took her away," Maston said.

A few neighbors said they actually tried helping her get back on track, but say she didn't want the help.
