Del Paso Heights Standoff Ends Peacefully
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A dangerous standoff was diffused tonight when police took an armed man into custody who barricaded himself and two children in a Del Paso Heights home.
It started as a police welfare check around 7:30 p.m. near Harris Avenue and Fell Street, but police say the man didn't respond to orders, so they called for negotiators.
Less than an hour later, the man surrendered, ending the standoff peacefully.
