Sacramento Kings Season Ticket Sales Keep Phones Ringing
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — With the future of the Sacramento Kings set, the team's become the hottest ticket in town.
There is a renewed energy inside Sleep Train Arena. The ring of a new sale is a familiar sound.
"Current season ticket holders are renewing at about a seat a minute," said spokesman Chris Clark. "We are getting new season inquiries about once every three minutes.
Season ticket sales will start tomorrow at 9 a.m. for fans who didn't have them last year. Clark pointed out that the best way to get tickets would be to sign up on the team's website.
While sales might not continue at this pace, there is hope the arena will sell out nightly once again.
Meanwhile, Seattle investor investor Chris Hansen released a statement that reads in part:
"Given what our community went through in 2008, if there is any silver lining in this for Seattle it is seeing Sacramento's dedicated fan base successfully rally to keep the Kings."
He also congratulated Sacramento fans and Mayor Kevin Johnson for a great job in keeping the Kings.
