Deputies Patrol Rivers Enforcing Memorial Day Weekend Alcohol Ban

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Boat patrols were on the water once again for Memorial Day enforcing the weekend alcohol ban.

The Sacramento and Yolo County sheriff patrols anticipate more people will be on rivers and lakes, but want to ensure people on the water are not drinking and wear life jackets.

"There's quite a few people out here. However, the water level is pretty low this time of year because of the little amount of rain fall we did have. A lot of boaters are up at Folsom Lake this year," said Sacramento County Sheriff's Department Dep. Mark Warren.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department says only one citation has been given out so far this weekend.

Patrols will be out in force through Monday.
