Raley Field Hosts Naturalization Ceremony As New Citizens Sworn In

WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Hundreds of people were sworn in Wednesday at a naturalization ceremony held at Raley Field in West Sacramento.

Officials say about 800 people took the Oath of Citizenship and hundreds more filled the stands to watch their friends and family members become American citizens.

"I'm pretty proud of him. It's something he's been wanting for a really long time and I'm just really, really happy for him," said one attendee.

People from 89 different countries were sworn in.
