Search Is On For Man, Woman Who Bound And Dumped Dog In Storm Drain

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Authorities are still looking for the people who tied up a dog's legs and pushed her into a Sacramento storm drain.

Sacramento Animal Control officers say the dog they've named "Stormie" is still dealing with trust issues and cowers in the corner of her cage. Stormie didn't have ID tags or a chip to help identify her owners.

A witness saw a man and a woman kicking and stuffing Stormie down a 25-foot storm drain at Power Inn and Calvine Road.

Metro Fire says Stormie's hind legs and stomach were bound tightly with a bicycle lock cable so the dog couldn't move. The tight space she was in made her rescue more difficult for rescue crews.
