Search Continues For Swimmer Missing On American River
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Searchers will resume their work on the American River Monday, looking for the body of a swimmer last seen on Sunday.
Witnesses called 911 after they saw the man go under the water near Howe Avenue and never resurface.
Firefighters used boats and a helicopter to search for the man where he was last seen, while his friends watched from the shore.
"They started crying and said he was already under there for thirty minutes," said Patricia Naraz, a witness.
The man is believed to be in his early 20's.
