Man Arrested For Indecent Exposure Incident In Woodland

DAVIS (CBS13) - A 22-year-old Davis man was arrested Thursday in Woodland for exposing himself to a girl.

The 12-year-old victim and her friend were walking in the 800 block of California Street in Woodland on Thursday afternoon when the suspect, who was parked along the sidewalk, got the attention of one of the girls and exposed himself, according to the Woodland Police Department. He drove off, but not before the girl and her friend got the car's license plate.

The girls contacted police and gave them the license plate number and description of the vehicle.

Police say the incident was similar to other indecent exposure incidents involving the suspect in a gold vehicle. But in those cases, the victims weren't able to give officers the license plate number.

An officer had an outside agency called the address listed on the vehicle's registration and asked the person who was driving the suspect vehicle to contact the officer. A few minutes later the suspect, Quang Huy Vo, 22, of Davis, called the officer and agreed to meet the officer in Woodland.

An officer and a detective met with Vo separately and were able to identify him as the suspect. Vo was booked into the Yolo County Jail on charges of indecent exposure. His bail is set at $100,000.

Anyone with any information concerning this or other similar incidents is encouraged to contact the Woodland Police Department at (530) 666-2411.

Detectives are taking a closer look at similar incidents in the area to see if Vo is responsible for those as well.
