Keith and Dave opened the show by talking about Phil Mickelson’s outstanding performance to win the Open Championship in Scotland by posting a final round 66.
After looking at some headlines outside of sports, the boys batted around the Open Championship once again before doing a brief AFC West preview. Both Dave and Keith agreed that the division is the Broncos’ to lose and that the Raiders have a rough season ahead of them despite making a couple of positive moves in the offseason.
In the Five Big Questions, Keith and Dave addressed whether Phil Mickelson has any chance of surpassing Tiger Woods as the greatest golfer of the current generation. They also discussed Ron Jaworski’s QB rankings, named their top seven quarterbacks, whether they have a problem with Matt Harvey saying he wishes he could replicate Derek Jeter’s success with the ladies, and whether Bartolo Colon is the best pitcher in the league.
After resetting the weekend’s top stories, the guys gave their NFC West preview before launching into “Three Up/Three Down.”
The final segment led to the Red Card Payoff for the day – the boys kept it pretty close, but ultimately Dave was branded Biggest Loser after turning on his 49ers when he said that the Seahawks are the best team in the NFL.
