UPDATED: Arrested Rancho Cordova ATM Theft Suspects Identified

RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) - Two people were arrested in connection with an ATM robbery in Rancho Cordova.

"How can you be that stupid?" asked one woman.

At around 4 a.m. Thursday, thieves broke into a Walgreens store on Sunrise Boulevard in Rancho Cordova, wrapped chains around the ATM and pulled it from the store using a vehicle, say Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputies.

They loaded the machine into a waiting moving van and drove off.

An off duty sheriff's deputy heard the radio call about the theft and spotted the truck on Sheldon Road in Elk Grove near Highway 99. After pulling it over, deputies discovered the stolen ATM inside.

"This is not a movie. It's really ridiculous," Walgreens customer Barbara Rhoden said.

Soon after, deputies spotted a possible female accomplice driving a truck with tools believed to be used in the burglary.

"Crime isn't worth it. It's not worth the trouble to get caught and get in trouble for stealing money," said Walgreens customer Eric Marks.

So far, deputies have arrested two people -- 28-year-old Colby Osborne and 34-year-old Angelia Walls -- in the case and believe a third may have been involved.

The thieves damaged the front entry of the store and scattered merchandise across the sidewalk during the incident.

Walgreens has remained open during this entire process.

Editor's Note: A previous version of the story said three suspects had been arrested.
