2-Alarm Fire Burns Natomas Home

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Firefighters are continuing their clean-up of a Natomas home that suffered heavy fire damage on Friday morning.

The fire happened at around 4 a.m. at the home on Lackland Way, west of Natomas Boulevard.

Residents inside the home and some of the family's pets were able to get out of the home safely, but one pet, a cat, wasn't so lucky.

Fire officials say it appears the fire started in the garage.
