Sacramento Officer Shoots Fleeing Suspect
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Sacramento police say an officer felt forced to fire at a fleeing suspect who appeared to be carrying a shotgun.
A pursuing officer shot the suspect once in the leg. He was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect was part of a group who fled when a team of gang enforcement officers approached on Arcade Boulevard Friday night.
Police say they found several guns and an assault weapon the group threw to the ground before fleeing.
The suspect's identity is being withheld at this time.
