Newcastle Man Arrested For Drug Possession
AUBURN (CBS13) - A Newcastle man was arrested in Auburn for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Just before 1 a.m. Monday, Auburn police received a call from someone saying a man on a bicycle had just tried to sell them drugs, according to Auburn Police Dept. Sgt. Michael Garlock.
An officer searched the area and found a man matching the suspect's description riding a bicycle in the area of High and Agard Streets, next to Placer High School. Irving Fernando Caro, 12, of Newcastle, allegedly had heroin, drug paraphernalia and two stolen credit/debit cards with him.
Caro was arrested and booked into the Placer County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a narcotic and using another person's credit card, according to the county's online arrest record.
His bail was set at $100,000.
