The Grant Napear Show - August 15, 2013

Grant opened up the show with big news on the arena front.

Ryan Lillis, Sacramento Bee writer, joined Grant on the show to discuss the lawsuit that was filed today in the Sacramento Superior Courtby the Fair Political Practices Commission. Ryan explained that the lawsuit was filed to seek the funders behind a campaign to force a vote on the city's arena subsidy.

Mike Silver, from NFL Network, came on to the show to talk about his new role with the network, including doing the Thursday night TV broadcast and writing for the website. Mike also discussed the 49ers' pass defense, his thoughts on rookie safety Eric Reid, and how the offense will handle the loss of Michael Crabtree.

Voice of the Arizona Cardinals, Dave Pasch, joined Grant on the show to talk about the Cardinals training camp, including Tyrann Mathieu's success thus far. Dave also discussed the Cardinals' tough schedule and how they compare to the rest of the teams in the NFC West.

Bryan Burwell, writer for the St. Louis Post Dispatch, came on to the show to talk about how the Rams are ready to make the next jump and push for a playoff spot. Bryan also explains why he thinks the Rams won't relocate to a different city and discussed the promise shown by WR Chris Givens throughout training camp.

Callers gave their thoughts on what they think Sacramento Kings President Chris Granger should do to upgrade Sleep Train Arena.
