Sheriff's Deputies In Standoff With Naked Man In Rancho Cordova
RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) - Sacramento sheriff's deputies are in a standoff with a naked man, who has barricaded himself inside a Rancho Cordova home Thursday morning.
Deputies received a call complaining about a man walking naked with an umbrella in the 10900 block of Cristobal Way around 11:15 a.m.
Arriving authorities found the naked man outside washing his car, say deputies.
He wielded the umbrella at deputies and was ordered to drop it. He complied, but then attempted to zap deputies with a bug spray, according to Sgt. Jason Ramos.
Deputies unsuccessfully attempted to taze the suspect, who then ran into a house.
The suspect is refusing to come out of the home, say officials.
Sheriff's deputies do not know if anyone else is in the home.
