Fans Don Costumes For SacAnime

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Thousands of fans aren't waiting until Halloween for their chance to geek out.

SacAnime is underway at the Sacramento Convention Center this Labor Day weekend, and is bringing out crowds in lots of costumes.

For cosplayers, it's the chance to shed the weekday work clothes for something a bit more creative.

The convention features video game and karaoke contests, as well as a change for fans to meet the voice of Mario from Nintendo's Mario Bros. video game franchise.

SacAnime runs through Sunday.
