Roof Of Lincoln Home Collapses During Fire

LINCOLN (CBS13) - Fire caused heavy damage to a Lincoln home early Monday morning.

When firefighters arrived at the single-story home in the 1300 block of Markham Ravine Drive, they found an active fire in the attic above the garage and living areas. Two minutes later, a large part of roof gave way, according to a Lincoln Fire Department spokesperson.

Firefighting units from Cal Fire and Rocklin Fire Department were able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby homes.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. However, investigators do not suspect foul play.

Everyone inside the home was able to get out safely.

Early damage estimates are at $75,000.
