The Grant Napear Show – September 27, 2013
Today on the Grant Napear Show there was a lot of talk about football and basketball. Grant talked about the DeMarcus Cousins extension and the 49ers’ win over the Rams. He also took calls about the Cousins extension, callers’ NFL locks and upsets for week four and what Colin Kaepernick can do to be successful. Grant interviewed Ken Korach, Greg Amsinger, Sam Amick, Adam Caplan, Joe Davidson.
Radio voice of the Oakland Athletics Ken Korach was on with Grant today to talk about the A’s as they prepare for the upcoming postseason. Ken and Grant discussed possible matchups for the Athletics in the divisional playoffs. Ken also went over the new format this postseason and how it will benefit the A’s if they secure home field advantage in the first round.
MLB Network’s Greg Amsinger joined Grant to preview the MLB Postseason. Greg talked about the end of the season and why late September/early October is the best time of year. He also discussed why the A’s could be a threat in the postseason, as well as the most disappointing teams were in each league. Finally, Grant and Greg went over the favorite in the American League, the favorite in the National League, and the state of free agency heading into the offseason.
Sam Amick from USA Today was on with Grant to talk about the upcoming NBA season. Grant and Sam talked about the DeMarcus Cousins extension and what it means for the Sacramento Kings. They also talked about Dwight Howard’s move to Houston and how other offseason moves will affect the 2013-2014 NBA season.
Adam Caplan from NFL.com talked with Grant today about the NFL season heading into the fourth week. Adam discussed how the Rams have regressed, what the Eagles can do to improve under Chip Kelly after a 1-2 start, and how dominant the Broncos can be. They also went over other week four matchups.
Joe Davidson of the Sacramento Bee was on with Grant to talk about Sacramento area prep football. Joe talked about the big matchups for the week in Sacramento high school football, and what type of football fans will see with some tough defensive matchups.
