Man Arrested For Breaking Into Home, Eating Food And Taking Nap

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police arrested a man who allegedly broke into a Sacramento residence on Saturday afternoon, made himself at home and even had a snooze.

The bizarre incident happened at a home in the 1300 block of 26th Street. According to Sacramento police, the resident came home at around 1:17 p.m. to find the house locked from the inside. The resident went around the back of the house and saw suspect sleeping.

The resident called police who found the suspect, Daniel Chaconas, 68, asleep in a shed on the property.

Following their investigation, officers say Chaconas had broken into the house, ate food, took a nap and woke up when the resident came home.

Chaconas was booked into the Sacramento County Jail for burglary.
