Elderly Man With Hospital ID Bracelet Struck, Killed By Car In Carmichael

CARMICHAEL (CBS13) — An elderly man wearing a hospital identification bracelet was struck by a car and killed when he was walking down a Carmichael street.

The victim was walking along Cypress Avenue, west of Walnut Avenue. The driver did not see the man and hit him.

Investigators say it was likely an accident and don't suspect drugs or alcohol being involved. They're not sure if the victim was recently released, or if he wandered away from a hospital.
