Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured In Orangevale
ORANGEVALE (CBS13) - One person was killed and another person injured during an early morning shooting in Orangevale.
The shooting happened at 4 a.m. Tuesday in the 9400 block of Central Avenue, which is in a residential area and near a community center.
Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies tell CBS13 they received multiple calls from nearby residents who reported hearing multiple gunshots. When they arrived at the scene of the shooting, deputies found a male in his 30s with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was declared dead at the scene. A second victim was treated for a bullet graze on his ear.
Deputies have not identified the victims.
Detectives are continuing with their investigation and have not alluded to any suspects.
