Motorboat Thefts On The Rise In Dixon

DIXON, Calif. (CBS13) - Police in the agricultural community Dixon are trying to track down a thief or thieves with a strange taste in property.

Thieves are targeting motorboats -- specifically those with outboard motors, say police. Some of the boats have been recovered, but in each case the engines are gone.

Lt. Tom Cordova says six boats have been taken.

Police urge boat owners to park their watercraft in a secure location. And if they can't, owners are urged to use trailer hitch locks.
