MODESTO (CBS13) – A fire overnight caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage to a home in Modesto.

The fire broke out at around midnight Tuesday in the 2000 block of Frazier Street. When firefighters arrived at the uninhabited home, the roof was fully engulfed in flames, according to a statement from Modesto Regional Fire Authority.

During the course of the fire, the roof partially collapsed and dropped the attic HVAC unit into the living area of the structure.
