Masked Men Shoot 1, Pistol-Whip Another In Brutal Home Invasion Near Vacaville
SOLANO COUNTY (CBS13) — The search is on for suspects in a brutal home invasion where masked men broke in and terrorized the people inside.
Investigators say four men shot one person twice inside the home and pistol-whipped another in a home on Poplar Road just outside of Vacaville.
"We are at the very beginning of this investigation," said Daryl Snedeker with the Solano County Sheriff's Department. "It took some time to clear the area. You can see we are in a semi-rural area here."
Deputies, police and K-9 units descended on the quiet section of Vacaville in force.
People in the neighborhood were asked to stay inside, while those trying to get back home were being kept out.
King Fox was separated from his wife and stepmother by crime tape. They assured him they locked the windows and doors.
"We don't know if they're going to come back or what happened, or nobody knows what's going on," he said. "It'd be nice when I know that they're caught."
