HAPPY VALLEY (CBS13) — A 16-year-old girl was struck in the head by a bullet investigators believe was fired by someone ringing in the new year with a rifle on Wednesday.
Shasta County Sheriff’s deputies say the girl was hit outside a home by a bullet from a rifle just past midnight on New Year’s Day in a home off of China Gulch Road south of Redding.
