6th Sexual Assault In Two Years Reported At Delta College

STOCKTON (CBS13) - Authorities say another female student has been sexually assaulted at Stockton's Delta College campus.

The woman was walking the Shima 2 pathway with an unknown male. The two parted ways at the intersection of Pershing Avenue and Venetian Drive. As the woman continued walking alone toward the campus, an unidentified male approached the victim from behind and began kissing her neck and attempted to unbuckle her belt.

Police say the male abruptly released her and fled the area.

The suspect is described as an African-American male. He was clean-shaven and was wearing a black jacket, black pants, and white tennis shoes.

Police are searching for a man they're describing as a person of interest who may have information about the attack. Here's his photo:

This is the sixth reported sexual assault in two years at the college.
