Comic Book Icon Archie Will Die In Upcoming Issue

Longtime comic book icon Archie is going to be meeting his maker in an upcoming issue.

Issues 36 and 37 of the series Life With Archie will end Archie's life by making "the ultimate sacrifice to save a friend," upcoming issues' description promises.

The publisher of the comic said they've been building to this moment during the series which chronicles Archie's adult years.

The character has spent 70 years in comics, most of them in his teen years, making his first appearance in 1941.
