Possible Mountain Lion Sighting Near Rocklin High School

ROCKLIN (CBS13) – Another reported mountain lion sighting caused a stir at Rocklin High School late Wednesday afternoon.

Captain Lon Miklka with the Rocklin Police Department tells CBS13 that they got a call from school administrators around 11:30 a.m. about a possible mountain lion sighting. A school employee reportedly saw a mountain lion near the soccer field.

Officers showed up and searched the nearby hillside for an hour but couldn't find the cougar.

Wednesday's report joins the three other sightings of a mountain lion in and around Rocklin. If you do run into a mountain lion, authorities say, make yourself look bigger than you are by putting your arms up. Then try to slowly back away from the animal.
