On today's show, Grant opened up talking about the opening NBA Playoff Games over Easter weekend. He discussed up and coming stars such as Damian Lillard and Kemba Walker that performed great whom were passed up in previous Drafts by the Kings. Grant was frustrated by the Kings passing up guys such as Lillard and Walker for players that are no longer with the Kings such as Thomas Robinson and Jimmer Fredette. Grant went on discussing some of the upsets in the First Round as well, such as the Golden State Warriors shocking the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center in Game 1 and the number 8 seed Atlanta Hawks crushing the number 1 seed in the East Indiana Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Grant believes Game 2 is a must win for the Clippers, and said there was a "75 percent chance" that if LA didn't come out with the W in Game 2 the Warriors are going to upset the Clippers in the first round. Grant also was disturbed over Golden State Warriors Owner Joe Lacob sitting so close to the Warriors Bench, and that it put a bad energy around Marc Jackson and his team. He also stated that the Pacers are in huge trouble against Atlanta, and felt the Pacers are not going to be at the Eastern Conference Finals.

Shortly after, Yahoo! Sports NBA Writer Marc Spears joined Grant on the show to talk Playoff Basketball, the officiating in the Playoffs, and other hot topics that were surrounding the Playoffs. Spears told Grant he shared the same belief in regards to the Clippers losing Game 2 that the series would be finished. Grant also asked Marc about the Pacers recent and sudden collapse in the later part of the season, and his view that there was a cancer in Indiana's locker room that was the cause of the struggles on the court. Marc and Grant went on to talk more in depth about the Golden State-Los Angeles series, what to make of the refs in the Playoffs, and much more. Marc also shared a story about interviewing Billy Crystal and him cursing him out following a playoff game.

Following Marc Spears, reporter for the Sacramento Bee Ryan Lillis joined Grant to break news to him on the developments of the Downtown Arena. Lillis said the cost of the new arena was going up 30 million dollars, but that the Kings were going to pay that additional 30 million dollars.

Kings Forward Jason Thompson was in studio to talk to Grant about his upcoming Basketball Camp, his offseason workout routines, and the upcoming season for the Kings. When asked about the playoffs Jason told Grant, "It hurts, but it pushes us to get better to get to that spot for next season definitely". Jason also answered questions from fans calling in such as the high point of his season and many more.

On today's edition of "Grant's Rants", Grant was surprised by the reaction's of media members around the country that were shocked to see Spurs Head Coach Greg Popovich was kind and sincere to long time Turner Sports Reporter Craig Sager's son, Craig Sager Jr., who was filling in for Craig Sr. who recently was diagnosed with Leukemia. Grant expressed how Greg Popovich has always been a class act when he's been around him.

San Jose Sharks play-by-play announcer Randy Hahn called in on the phone with Grant to talk about the Sharks two crushing wins against the LA Kings in Game 1 and Game 2 in which they scored a combined 13 goals ( 6 in Game 1, 7 in Game 2). Grant and Randy talked about the ins and outs of the series such as the grade on Sharks' Goalie Antti Niemi and what LA needs to do to turn the series around.
