STOCKTON (CBS13) – A school along Transworld Drive in Stockton was put on lockdown for a short time following a report of a man possibly armed with a gun in the area.

Joe Silva with the Stockton Police Department tells CBS13 that someone called police to tell them that someone told them they saw a person on a bicycle who possibly had a gun. The witness reported that the person looked to be under 18.

Police officers responded to the scene and searched for the suspicious person, but were unable to find him.

Venture Academy, which is in the area where the biker was reportedly spotted, was put on lockdown as a precaution, Silva says.
