Kings Join Sacramento Pride With 'Proud To Play' Video
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The Sacramento Kings jumped in on the Sacramento Pride festivities with a 30 second video posted to Youtube.
Posted to the team's verified Youtube account, the video depicts the Kings' court slowly being illuminated with all the colors of the rainbow. Each new light is accompanied by a declarative hashtag; for example, when the color red appears on the court, the term "#ForeverRed" appears on screen.
To the uninitiated, "Forever Purple" is a term Kings fans use to show support for their team. So, fittingly, the parade of lights fitting ends on "#ForeverPurple."
The video was posted Saturday morning, coinciding with the Sacramento Pride Parade. The Kings Dancers and Slamson The Lion (the team's mascot) were also in attendance during Saturday's festivities at Capitol Mall.
