Suspects In Elk Grove T-Mobile Store Robbery Left Behind Handgun

ELK GROVE (CBS13) – Police are investigating a brazen mid-day robbery that saw the three clerks of an Elk Grove T-Mobile store tied up.

According to the Elk Grove Police Department, the store along Elk Grove Boulevard, near Bruceville Road, was robbed around 11 a.m. Saturday. One of the suspects reportedly entered the store with a gun and forced the employees into the back. A second suspect them entered the store and tied up three of the four employees.

The suspects then stole as much merchandise as they could and eventually took off. A witness saw the suspects leave the scene in a Dodge Dart, but few other details about the suspects was recorded.

However, the suspects left behind a handgun, giving police hope that the suspects will be caught.

"Hopefully we'll be able to get some finger prints off handgun or the magazine or even the bullets after its been processed," said Chris Trim with Elk Grove Police.

No one was injured in the incident, and no customers were inside the business at the time.

The store has been closed for the rest of Saturday.
