Pursuit Ends In Crash In Grass Valley
NEVADA COUNTY (CBS13) – A suspect is in custody after a reported pursuit ended in a crash early Thursday morning.
In the early morning hours, a car was spotted speeding down Allison Ranch Road south of Grass Valley. The car rolled over, hit an AT&T pole and snapped it in half.
Apparently, a Nevada County Sheriff's Office vehicle was chasing after the car because the pole that came crashing down landed onto the deputy's car – narrowly missing the driver's seat.
Neither the driver of the speeding car or the sheriff's deputy were hurt in the crash.
California Highway Patrol later arrived on scene and helped arrest the driver of the speeding car on DUI charges.
