NAPA COUNTY (CBS13) – Crews are gaining ground on the wildfire burning out in Napa County.
The Butts Fire is now 55% contained, Cal Fire noted Friday morning. About 4,300 acres have been burned so far, along with two homes and seven outbuildings.
All evacuation orders were lifted Thursday and residents were allowed back into their homes by 2 p.m.
Cal Fire credits favorable weather conditions with helping bring containment up.
More than 1,700 firefighters are at the scene. What caused the fire is still under investigation.
