Possible Data Breach Puts Goodwill Customers' Debit, Credit Cards At Risk

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A possible major data breach may have led to the theft of Goodwill shoppers' credit and debit card information.

Federal investigators report that numbers possibly stolen are being used by identity thieves.

Just months after the personal data of 110 million customers was stolen from Target, investigators are looking into the possible breach affecting Goodwill stores in 21 states, including California.

It's not clear which stores were hacked into, and if they actually did. So far, a Goodwill spokesman says no security breach has been identified since they started looking into it several days ago.
