Prediction Machine Says Early Playoff Exit For 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers three-year streak of NFC Championship game appearances will end; they won't win the division and they'll be out in the Wild Card round.

Well, at least that's what PredictionMachine.com says. The site uses technology to play the season 50,000 times and says it uses strength of schedule, stats from every player's career which factors in age along with playing time. It also factors in coaching styles and weather.

PredictionMachine said the 49ers are the 4th best team in the NFL with a four percent chance of winning the Super Bowl. San Francisco will finish second in the NFC West and lose to the Green Bay Packers 31-30 in the Wild Card round.

How accurate are the predictions? The site predicted that the 49ers would beat the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl last season and had the Seahawks getting bounced by San Francisco in the divisional round.

Bad News for Raiders-If the site is right, Raiders head coach Dennis Allen and general manager Reggie McKenzie will be looking for new jobs. The duo can't afford another four win season and PredictionMachine believes the Raiders rank 31st in the NFL, will finish dead last in the AFC West and gave them a ZERO percent chance of winning the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl Prediction: The site predicts that the Broncos will meet the Seahawks in a rematch of last year's Super Bowl but Denver will come out on top.
