Local Pitcher Strikes Out 17 In Loss
Was it a good night for Stockton Ports pitcher and A's prospect Chris Lamb? The 24-year-old lefty struck out 17 batters including a California League-record 10 straight. The bad news? He took the loss.
Lamb gave up a home run in the first inning and the Ports lost the game 3-0.
"I'd definitely pick one of the outings where my team won as my favorite outing, but in terms of my personal execution for a little stretch in the middle of the game there, that's as good as I've ever felt," Lamb told MLB.com following the loss.
