Three Athletes Who've Been Busted For Weed

Cleveland Browns receiver Josh Gordon has been suspended for the entire 2014-2015 NFL season.

No, Gordon didn't murder anyone or say "bomb" in an airport, just another violation of the league's substance-abuse policy for a failed drug test.

There are many athletes who've been busted for smoking the ganja so here are the top three athletes who will always be known for toking.

1. Tim Lincecum

The San Francisco Giants pitcher and Cy Young award winner was cited on misdemeanor marijuana charges after a traffic stop in Washington State in 2009.

Giants fans now wear shirts that say "Let Timmy Smoke".

2. Michael Phelps

The winner of 18 gold medals was photographed taking hits from a bong following the 2008 Olympics. Phelps lost most sponsors and had to go on an apology tour after the photo went international but returned to the 2012 Olympics winning more olympic medals and then announced his retirement.

Smoking during retirement or not, Phelps has announced he's coming out of retirement to swim again.

3. Ricky Williams

Williams was one of the best running backs in the NFL and was suspended multiple times for his pot use. He quit the NFL after he failed a third drug test for marijuana use in 2004, made a comeback in 2005 and then was suspended the entire 2006 season for failing his fourth drug test.

He came back from that to play five more seasons in the NFL.
