What Businesses Are Coming To Curtis Park Village?

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A viewer asked CBS13 what new businesses and restaurants are coming to Curtis Park Village.

Walk through one of the oldest neighborhoods in Sacramento and you'll hear the sounds of new development. A peek down the street shows the winds of change are sweeping through this Curtis Park neighborhood.

The former rail yard, right across from Sacramento City College will be known as Curtis Park Village—a mix of homes and businesses.

The anchor tenant for the development will be a Safeway that will have a fuel station. Also included will be a Dos Coyotes and Jack's Urban Eats, according to developer Paul Petrovich.

There are also plans to connect the area with the Sacramento.

"There will be an eleven million dollar pedestrian bridge and bicycle bridge connecting from Curtis Park Village the center itself over the railroad into Sac city to the busiest light rail station that there is in the system," he said.

He says all systems are go, except for a fuel permit expected to be approved by the end of the year.
