Woman, 26, Wanted For Hit-And-Run That Killed Bicyclist Near Winters

WINTERS (CBS13) – California Highway Patrol says they have identified the suspect wanted for a hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist outside of Winters.

The incident happened back on March 26, according to CHP. A bicyclist – 72-year-old Dan Taylor – was riding along Putah Creek Road, just outside of Winters, when he was hit and killed by a car.

CHP says the driver of the car is 26-year-old Adrianna Melendez, who was a resident of Winters. Investigators say that Melendez tried to conceal the evidence that she was involved in the crash, but they have not commented on how she tried.

Melendez reportedly left Winters on March 28 after she learned that authorities were looking for her in connection to the incident.

A $50,000 warrant for her arrest has been issued out of Solano County, CHP notes.

Anyone who spots Melendez is asked to call the CHP Solano-area office at (707) 428-2100.
