Family, Police Ask For Help In Finding Missing Christian Brothers Volleyball Coach

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Florentina Tria's family and friends are now on their third day of searching for the Christian Brothers High School volleyball coach

She appears to have vanished without a trace.

On Wednesday, Florentina's husband Joe Broadhead says his wife left the school after coaching volleyball practice, then asked someone she knew to drop her off a few blocks from her home near Curtis Park.

"Police records show that there was phone activity after that," Joe said.

According to Joe, Florentina made a couple calls to friends and texted her brother – all normal conversations.

But Flo never made it home that night.

"At ten o clock her phone went dead … and we haven't heard from her since," Joe said.

And now he says the search is taking them miles from Sacramento.

Joe says her cellphone records show her activity in Reno around 9 Friday night.

And then in Dorris, Calif., near the Oregon border.

"It just doesn't make sense because she's so involved that she always has some way to contact someone," said Jazmine Wallace.

Sacramento Police call her disappearance unusual because she's never lost contact with her family. And her husband says this weekend was especially important to her.

"Her son, who was a freshman in Texas at TCU, was coming home," Joe said.

He says his wife of about twenty years wouldn't go missing on her own – especially on a weekend she was looking forward to.

"We know she's out there. We're going to find her and that's what we're focused on at this point," Joe said.

Flo's son arrived in Sacramento yesterday. She planned to attend the annual Holy Bowl football game with him Saturday between Chrstian Brothers and Jesuit High.
